Severe weather is occurring in Southwest Georgia and is expected to continue across South and Central Georgia throughout the afternoon and evening. A Tornado Watch has been issued for Southwest Georgia until 3 PM, with additional watches and warnings likely throughout the day. A few tornadoes are expected with a couple of intense tornadoes possible. Scattered damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph are also likely, as well as large hail up to 2 inches in diameter. North and Central Georgia should begin to clear out late this evening, and storms should move out of South Georgia shortly after midnight.
